I spent more than three decades stepping into the shoes of my customer and reading it back. I look at it objectively from their perspective to see if it's actually what they need to hear about the offer, service or product to take the next step.
Then I write each piece of the customer journey honestly, using the owner's and the customer's own terms and phrases to help them overcome questions, and understand that the product or service is the right fit, and buy it.
Once the real, human messaging is set, the automation intelligently handles the heavy lifting in the background, and makes sure customers have the information they need, that processes are moving forward, services are getting delivered, notifications happen if something gets dropped. It helps handle the tracking, the reporting, and the follow-up sequences so customers are happy, team members are supported, and people don't have to manually manage every step.
This allows people to focus on people, not on technology, after that investment is made.
It allows people to know their customers better, it allows customers to know the business better, it builds the relationship, and it builds the opportunity to earn more for everyone. It's a success cycle, especially if you pay attention to what's happening because you know how people are responding.
